Hosted by Garry and Sally Walton

Garry and Sally Walton met in Charlottesville, where she grew up before studying at JMU and where he received three degrees in English at UVA. For almost 40 years, they served as educators in Raleigh, NC. Sally worked as a National Board-certified literacy specialist throughout the Wake County Public School system; Garry taught Shakespeare and served as Dean at Meredith College. Soon after they completed their education careers in North Carolina, the couple were ushering regularly at the Blackfriars, and Sally was enticing their new friends and neighbors to Shakespeare plays by hosting Renaissance-style meals with period dishes and stories about early culinary customs. Now they’re excited to share that experience by partnering with chef Aaron Gardner for a memorable feast on the Blackfriars stage.
