Recently, the cast of The Hound of the Baskervilles gathered at The Frenchmen in downtown Staunton, VA for a behind-the-scenes interview with ASC Content Creator Madison Patterson where the actors attempted to sketch crayon portraits of one another while discussing Sherlock Holmes disguises, rapid-fire character changes, audience interaction, and theatrical chaos.

Featuring cast members Topher Embrey, Justin McCombs, and Christopher Joel Onken, the conversation offers a closer look at the fast-paced mystery comedy currently taking over the Blackfriars Playhouse in Staunton, VA.

The cast also highlights the work of the creative team behind the production, including Costume Designer Elizabeth Wislar, Props Designer Conrad Gothard, Props Artisan Grace Easterday, and Christopher Seiler, who originated the production’s live Foley Artist track at ASC. Now through May 17, Isabel Lee Roden steps into the role, continuing to bring live sound effects and theatrical magic to every performance of The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Check out the full interview above and on ASC’s YouTube as the cast discusses onstage quick changes, live Foley artistry performed in shared light, and the theatrical problem-solving that makes The Hound of the Baskervilles unlike anything else at ASC this season.
